It Isn’t Red or Blue it’s PURPLE

Published by eclecticbird at 10:59 pm under Independent Edit This

You may have noticed that the media, in their vast wisdom, tends to focus on the Republican and Democratic parties.  From the way they talk about red and blue states (why can’t I live in a pink or purple state dang it?) you’d think that our country can easily be split into two tidy little categories.  Well not me.  I refuse to be classified as red OR blue.  I’m going to be purple.  Face it, our political system is broken.  We need change and at the moment both of the primary colors sound a lot alike.

There are a ton of different parties out there and they have great things to say.  What they don’t have is the money to get their message out to the people who get their political views from the media.  (You know it’s true, people are going to vote for who they like or who sounds nice or who they see the most on TV or who promises them the most fun at the circus)  That’s right I think a LOT of people only know about the two big players.  Well no more.  I’ll be doing lots and lots of posts for some of the purple people.
